            Les biocarburants comprennent le biodiesel et l'éthanol. Il s'agit de carburants fabriqués à partir de ressources renouvelables et généralement mélangés à des carburants raffinés sous forme d'additifs.
 
            Caustique (hydroxyde de sodium)
      
            
            L'hydroxyde de sodium est soluble dans l'eau, l'alcool et le glycérol. Il est utilisé dans la fabrication d'autres produits chimiques, de rayonne et de films, le raffinage du pétrole, la pâte à papier et le papier, la fabrication de l'aluminium, le raffinage de l'huile végétale, dans les détergents, les savons, le traitement des textiles, la régénération du caoutchouc et en tant qu'alcali dans les aliments. La viscosité varie de l'eau à 40 cP en fonction de la concentration et de la température.
 
            Huiles de cuisson
      
            
            Les huiles de cuisson chaudes sont principalement utilisées pour la friture des légumes et des viandes. Certaines huiles ou graisses de cuisson deviennent solides à température ambiante, mais les pompes sont généralement situées suffisamment près de la source d'alimentation pour que la pompe reste chaude. La viscosité est généralement fine comme de l'eau à des températures de fonctionnement normales.
 
            Crèmes (médicinales, cosmétiques)
      
            
            Les crèmes sont généralement destinées à l'usage personnel des consommateurs pour des traitements cosmétiques et médicaux de surface. Les propriétés physiques et chimiques peuvent varier considérablement en fonction de la base de la crème et des substituts ajoutés. Certaines crèmes sont à base de pétrole, comme la graisse de pétrole, tandis que d'autres sont des émulsions en suspension dans l'eau. Il s'agit généralement de mélanges qui s'amincissent sous l'effet du cisaillement.
