Definition

Druck, dem die Pumpe für kurze Zeit ausgesetzt wird, um die Unversehrtheit von Gussteilen, Dichtungen und Dichtungsringen sicherzustellen.

Berechnung: Der Förderdruck ist eine Funktion des Systems und muss berechnet oder gemessen werden. Messungen können am Messanschluss auf der Druckseite der Pumpe oder an einer Stelle an der Druckleitung möglichst nahe an der Pumpe erfolgen.

What is the hydrostatic test pressure?

Hydrostatic test pressure is the pressure to which the pump will be subjected to for a short duration to ensure casting, seal, and gasket integrity. This is achieved by sealing and pressurizing the pump when it is not in operation. Hydrostatic test pressures can be to as much as 1.5 times the maximum allowable working pressure, but may be limited by other factors such as the seal.
