Design Features
The Concept SQ series of multi-lobe pumps represent the ultimate in
sanitary / hygienic design. The rotors are retained from the drive
end, eliminating crevices associated with conventional fixing methods.
The seals are positioned directly behind the rotors to maximize cleaning
of the seal area. The casing is self-draining and internal corners
of the flow path are radiused to minimize product retention. The
front cover is fitted with a controlled compression joint which eliminates
crevices associated with static O-ring joints. This joint, and all
potential entry and exit points at the product/atmosphere interfaces may
be provided with steam or a fluid barrier, to ensure maximum product
integrity and containment.
Seal options include single, single flushed and double flushed
mechanical seals. Port options include sanitary clamp, ACME or
flange fittings, with aseptic fittings available where barrier circulation
is required.
They meet 3A standards for milk and milk products, are EHEDG certified
for in-place cleanability of food processing equipment, and are EHEDG
certified for in-line steam sterilisability and bacteria tightness.
