SG Series Value vs. Competitors ![]() The Value of Reliability is Clear. Assuming the cost of: Simply by providing 20% longer seal and/or bearing life than competitors’ pumps, Viking's SG Series can save you more than $8,000 per year, or $40,000 over five years. A customized scenario needs to be adapted to fit each customer's application and operating parameter. The accuracy of the calculated savings depends upon the accuracy of customer supplied data. Note that pump configuration and materials used for pumps varies with application. And that pumps should only be used for the particular application with the particular liquids specified when pumps are ordered. Viking's Spur Gear External Gear Series pumps are ideal for low-capacity, high-pressure, motor-speed applications. All pumps increase by capacities of 40%, so there is always a pump within 20% of your capacity needs. These pumps offer lips seals, mechanical seals or Mag Drive sealing options. They are available with foot mount, C-flange motor mount, IEC motor mount or four-bolt motor mount (lip seal only). Integral pressure relief valves are standard on single pumps, not available on double pumps. Double Pumps offer two independent pumping units operated from a single power source to reduce equipment costs. These may be used to pump from one fluid source to two applications, two fluids to two applications, or for proportioning two fluids together. Some models are available with optional UL listing for Fuel Oil, for use in the assembly of power-operated oil burners or for use as oil-transfer pumps for No. 6 or lighter fuel oil. For hydraulic applications or pressures beyond 500 PSI, Viking offers a line of Fluid Power Pumps in both single and double pump configurations. The Spur Gear Series includes the following models:
