For intermediate chemicals and solvents where sanitary/hygienic design is not
required, Viking offers a variety of stainless steel pumps for transfer and
metering applications. These include the High
Speed Compact, Universal
Seal and Viking
Mag Drive series.
Where sanitary/hygienic pumping is required, such as fermentation and
separation media, medicinal chemicals, pharmaceuticals, blood products, serums,
proteins, tablet coatings and laboratory / pilot plant applications, Viking offers several
series of CIP-able sanitary rotary lobe pumps. These include the AccuLobe
for lab, pilot plant and small scale manufacturing, the DuraLobe
for general transfer applications, and the Concept
SQ series, with aseptic design, providing the maximum available level of hygiene available.
The DuraLobe and Concept SQ models are certified to EHEDG (European Hygienic
Equipment Design Group) standards for in-place cleanability, and the Concept SQ
is EHEDG certified for in-line steam sterilisability and bacteria-tightness.
